Do you need help?
“Thinking outside the shelter”
The amount of help we can offer and the lives we can save do not stop at the walls of our adoption centers. Think bigger. Much bigger.
Our goal is to make life an option for animals in need and the people helping them. Even if we cannot physically take in an animal immediately (or at all) there are many ways that we can assist you in getting a good outcome whether this is your pet or an animal you have rescued. We view our relationship with the community as a partnership and we are committed to spending time, energy and resources to help the animals of our community. We obviously cannot physically house all the animals that come our way (though certainly, we can/do house many), but the significant resources that we can provide + your help as foster parents=saving animals’ lives.
If you do foster, Friends For Life offers medical assistance through our participating veterinarians, vaccinations, worming, diagnostics to all animals enrolled in our foster animal adoption program free of charge to the foster parent. We show the animals on multiple websites and at multiple adoption center locations, professionally screen each candidate, check references, require a stringent contract regarding care of the animal and provide follow up on the care of the animal. Further, animals from Friends For Life may always come back to the FFL No Kill program. They are truly friends for life.
Can you Foster the animal during the adoption process?

We can connect you with pet friendly rental companies/agents and veterinarians in your area.
We can add you to our list to get an in-residence spot at FFL or an FFL foster. As you might imagine, it is not a precise science to predict when these spots open. If you’d like us to add this animal to the list, however, we are happy to do that. But in the interim, let’s team up and take active steps together to find this animal a forever home!
Sometimes fostering, even with help is just not an option. In that case, we do have recommendations for other groups that can step in to assist you in this way. Download our Resource Directory
