May 13th at the River Oaks Country Club we will put the "fun" in fundraiser at the Second Annual Friends For Life Art Auction and Dinner supporting the No Kill animal rescue and adoption programs of Friends For Life. Like last year, we will have delicious food and drink and an exciting live auction.

This year, famous New Orleans "Blue Dog" artist George Rodrigue will make our event extra special by painting a one-of-a-kind original "Blue Dog" piece just for this event! There will be only one chance to get this amazing collector's piece and it will be May 13th at the Friends For Life event!

Join us for the silent and live auction of other spectactular one-of-a-kind items and an evening that is the purrfect fit for the animal advocate and art lover in you! You'll be supporting the fastest-growing No Kill animal rescue and adoption organization in Houston and helping us continue to make life an option for thousands of dogs and cats each year.

Additionally, this year a very generous benefactor has underwritten all costs of the event. This means that every single dollar you donate will go directly to the life-saving programs of Friends For Life. There has never been a better chance to make a real difference for Houston animals!

We have added a special feature to this year's event called CELEBRITY BARKITECTURE HOUSTON! Academy-Award winning actress Cloris Leachman, Kimberly and Dennis Quaid, Rusty Arena, artist/designer, John Kidd, designer have all contributed the most amazing one of a kind pieces of doggie and kitty abodes you can possibly imagine! We even have a few surprises up our sleeves for additional designers we will just spring on you at the fling! Of course, they are all one of a kind (the designers AND the abodes!) and the only chance to make the abodes yours is to be at the Friends For Life Evening of Art for the animals to take place from 6:30 until 9:30 on May 13th at the River Oaks Country Club!
